LEGAZPI CITY — Two unidentified men were found dead on Tuesday inside a drum floating in a river in Labo town in Camarines Norte province.
In a belated report on Wednesday, April 3, Brigadier General Andre Perez Dizon, Bicol police chief, said when resident Efren Gache was fishing at 12:01 a.m. in Busig-on River in Barangay Submakin, he noticed the two blue drums on the water but ignored it.
When he went back with other residents around 9:30 a.m., they tried to recover the drums and saw the ear of one of the victims.

Lieutenant Colonel Augusto Manila, chief of Labo police, said they broke the drum and removed the bodies from the cemented drum for autopsy.
He said the bodies were already decomposing and that the victims were possibly killed two to three weeks ago.
“We requested for forensic autopsy because we cannot identify the victims, to compare with the DNA of possible relatives,” Manila said in a phone interview on Wednesday.
