“I thank Pulse Asia for including me in their last survey for the 2028 Vice Presidential race, which showed me getting 7 percent of the voting public,” said Zubiri.

“However, to dispel any rumors that may arise, I would like to make it clear that I will not be running for any public office [in] 2028, and I am, in fact, contemplating on my retirement from almost 30 years of politics,” he emphasized.

He proceeded to thank his “kababayans” from Mindanao and Visayas, who made up at least 14 percent and 8 percent of his Pulse Asia numbers.

While contemplating on his retirement, Zubiri also vowed to dedicate the last four years of his service to “uplifting the lives of every Filipino through meaningful legislations.”
