Signal No. 1 up over 21 areas in Luzon due to Crising

MANILA, Philippines — Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal (TCWS) No. 1 was raised over 21 areas in Luzon due to Tropical Depression Crising.
Crising was last spotted 460 kilometers east of Baler, Aurora, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said in its bulletin Thursday night.
Crising was packing winds of up to 55 km per hour and gusts of up to 70 kph, while moving northwest at 15 kph.
This development prompted Pagasa to hoist TCWS No. 1 over the following areas:
Ilocos Region
Ilocos Norte Ilocos Sur La Union
Cagayan Valley
Batanes Cagayan including Babuyan Islands Isabela Nueva Vizcaya Quirino
Cordillera Administrative Region
Apayao Abra Kalinga Mountain Province Ifugao Benguet
Central Luzon
-portion of Aurora (Dilasag, Casiguran, Dinalungan, Dipaculao, Baler, Maria Aurora)
-Northern portion of Nueva Ecija (Carranglan, Pantabangan)
-Northern portion of Pangasinan (San Nicolas, Natividad, San Quintin, San Manuel, Tayug, Sison, San Fabian, Pozorrubio, Laoac, Binalonan, San Jacinto, Manaoag, Mangaldan, Dagupan City, Binmaley, Lingayen, Labrador, Sual, City of Alaminos, Bolinao, Anda, Bani, Agno, Burgos, Mabini, Dasol, Calasiao, Santa Barbara, Mapandan, Bugallon)

TCWS No. 1 indicates winds of between 39 to 61 kph within the next 36 hours, which pose minimal to minor threat to life and property.
Pagasa also said Crising may possibly make landfall in mainland Cagayan or Babuyan Islands by Friday afternoon or evening. /gsg
