MANILA, Philippines — The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) said on Wednesday that the southbound lanes of the C-5 Ortigas flyover and the Pasig Boulevard flyover will be temporarily closed to traffic for the installation of expansion joints from March 28-31.
“The Department of Public Works and Highways- Metro Manila 1st District Engineering Office advises that the southbound lanes of C5 Ortigas Flyover, and Pasig Boulevard Flyover will be temporarily closed to traffic, starting March 28 to 31, 2024 to make way for the installation of new bridge expansion joints,” it said.
The DPWH added that workers will work round the clock to expedite the project’s completion.
“The project will replace the old bridge expansion joints, allowing more stability to the structural integrity of the bridges. In order to fasttrack the completion within this Holy Week, the construction works will operate 24 hours a day,” it added.
Motorists are advised to take the southbound service roads while the project is ongoing.
