PAGADIAN CITY, Zamboanga del Sur–A firetruck sent to put out a blaze in Barangay Dumagoc here on Tuesday morning was stopped on its track by telecommunications cables.

The firetruck’s nozzle caught the wires as it was negotiating a narrow alley in Balangasan District, pulling down a concrete post that fell on its cabin.

Chief Inspector Edgar Quitoy, city fire marshal, said there was no delay in their response as a second firetruck, which convoyed with the first, proceeded to Dumagoc to put out the fire inside a compound of farm animals.
