Fire hits Brgy. Damayan Lagi in Quezon City

MANILA, Philippines — A fire erupted in a residential area in Barangay Damayan Lagi, Quezon City, on Monday afternoon.

According to the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), the fire reached the first alarm at 4:57 p.m., which quickly escalated to the second alarm at 4:59 p.m.

Fire trucks have been dispatched to the scene, but as of this writing, the fire has not been extinguished.

Photos and videos of the incident depict the blaze spreading across houses constructed of light materials.

Residents were seen assisting firefighters from the BFP by untangling hoses and dousing the flames with water from buckets.

This is the second blaze at Barangay Damayan Lagi in a few days, following the previous one on March 19.
