LUCENA CITY — A 28-year old man who is wanted for robbery was killed in an alleged shootout with police in Lemery town in Batangas province on Friday, March 22.
Batangas police said in a report Saturday, March 23, that operatives, armed with a warrant of arrest swooped down on the safe house of the suspect, “Kelly” in Barangay (village) Matingain I, around 7:15 p.m.

Police said Kelly, during the serving of the warrants, fired at the cops using a caliber .45 pistol but missed his targets.
Policemen returned fire and hit the suspect who sustained gunshot wounds. He was rushed to Batangas Provincial Hospital in the locality but was declared dead on arrival
According to the report, Kelly is wanted for two robbery charges lodged in Pasig City courts.
