2 teenagers nabbed in Batangas marijuana buy-bust

LUCENA CITY – Two policemen aboard a mobile patrol were injured on Wednesday, Feb. 7, after their vehicle was hit by car-riding drug suspects in Mabini town in Batangas province.

Batangas police reported Thursday that anti-illegal drug operatives were about to arrest the three suspects, “Vane,” “Lander” and “Fred” after a buy-bust operation at 7:42 p.m. when the trio escaped aboard their car in Barangay Pulong Niogan.

A police mobile patrol car with Corporals Salavaria and Pesigan on board established a roadblock, but the suspect’s vehicle, a Nissan Sentra, tried to evade the blockade and crashed into the patrol car. The first names of the cops were not stated in the report.
