QC gov’t: Part of E. Rodriguez Jr. Ave closed on March 25 due to quake drill

MANILA, Philippines — The local government of Quezon City said on Friday that a part of Eulogio Rodriguez Jr. Avenue will not be passable on March 25.

According to the city government, this was to give way to the First Quarter Nationwide Simultaneous Earthquake Drill.

“Pansamantalang hindi madadaanan ang isang lane at ang bike lane ng Eulogio Rodriguez Jr. Ave mula Citibank hanggang Mercury Avenue sa Libis, Quezon City sa Lunes, March 25, 2024 mula 8:00 PM – 8:30 PM,” the city said in a Facebook post.

(One lane and the bike lane of Eulogio Rodriguez Jr. Ave from Citibank to Mercury Avenue in Libis, Quezon City will not be passable on Monday, March 25, 2024, from 8:00 pm to 8:30 pm.)

The city said that personnel from the Traffic and Transport Management Department and the Department of Public Order and Safety will assist in managing traffic.

It also advised motorists to take alternate routes during the earthquake drill.
