Human remains found in Calax area in Cavite

MANILA, Philippines — Human remains were found along the waterways inside the westbound post of Cavite-Laguna Expressway (Calax) in Silang, Cavite, last March 18, according to police.
In a report on Wednesday, the Silang Municipal Police Station (MPS) said it received a call from Calax personnel saying that they had found a torso of an unidentified human in Barangay Kaong. It was already in an early state of decomposition, police said.

To identify the victim, the Silang police said it already sought the assistance of its forensic unit to conduct a thorough investigation.
The police also coordinated with Calax management to retrieve CCTV footage installed within the area to identify people who went to the area.
