MANILA, Philippines — Overcast skies and rain will prevail over several parts of the country on Wednesday due to the effects of the northeast monsoon or amihan and the easterlies, said the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa).

“Asahan ang light to moderate rains sa Cagayan Valley, as well as Kalinga, and Apayao dulot ng northeast monsoon, habang ang hilagang bahagi ng Quezon at lalawigan ng Aurora asahan ang mahinang pagulan dulot din ng amihan,” said Pagasa weather specialist Benison Estareja.

(Expect light to moderate rains in Cagayan Valley, as well as Kalinga, and Apayao due to the northeast monsoon, while the northern part of Quezon and the province of Aurora can anticipate light showers also caused by the northeast monsoon.)
