MANILA, Philippines — Former Vice President Leni Robredo shared her experience as then the country’s second-highest official and advised students in Camarines Sur on the career path they want to pursue as the nation marks Women’s Month.

Robredo told Grade 10 Camarines Sur National High School students the importance of women’s role in nation-building and education, economy, governance, and healthcare.

Aside from the former vice president, feminist professional workers in male-dominated fields, such as engineering, healthcare, architecture, and public service, also shared their thoughts during the school’s “LeadHer: Navigating Careers of Equal Opportunities.”

In a Facebook post on Tuesday, Robredo thanked the students who gave her a basket of letters, as she felt sentimental while hearing her campaign jingle “Rosas” during the 2022 national elections playing in the background.

“Nakakatuwa mga bata. Niregaluhan nila ako ng isang basket ng mga letters nila na balak kong basahin mamaya. At parang na deja vu ako sa hiyawan at background music na Rosas,” Robredo said.
