Man shot dead, 1 hurt by tandem-riding gunmen in Cavite
LUCENA CITY – A man was killed while his companion was wounded after they were shot by riding-in-tandem gunmen in Imus City, Cavite province on Friday, March 15.
The Police Region 4A in a report Saturday, March 16, said Rene Valencia and Ramil Talaroc were waiting for a ride along the Aguinaldo Highway in Barangay (village) Anabu 1C around 7:20 p.m. when the gunmen aboard a motorcycle appeared and repeatedly shot them.
The assailants sped off after the shooting and left Talaroc dead on the spot.

Valencia sustained gunshot wounds. He was taken to the nearest hospital for treatment.
The report did not provide other information on the victims.
An investigation is ongoing to establish the motive behind the incident. Police launched a manhunt operation to arrest the assailants.
