SECRETARY Joel Rocamora of the National Anti-Poverty Commission will be the guest speaker of the 5th general assembly of the Central Visayas Network (CenVisnet) of non-government organizations (NGOs) and people’s organizations (POs) on May 11, from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at Hotel Asia in Cebu City.
Rocamora will talk about the anti-poverty programs of the Aquino administration.
The general assembly will be participated by NGOs and POs from the Central Visayas provinces of Bohol, Cebu, Negros Oriental and Siquijor.
The activity will strengthen the organization, and provide a venue for discussion of issues and concerns regarding social development work during the afternoon session.
CenVisnet is a member of the caucus of non-government organization networks. Kaabag sa Sugbo, a network of Cebu-based social development NGOs, is the secretariat of this region-wide network.
