The 45-year-old suspect named Luzviminda Bayo was arrested Tuesday in a police checkpoint in Pulangbato Wharf, barangay Pulangbato, Bogo City, northern Cebu.
Police seized three .357 homemade revolvers loaded with three live bullets and a .22 caliber inside Bayo’s handbag after they were tipped that a woman carrying guns was on her way to the wharf to board a boat heading to Cataingan, Masbate.
Police said Bayo of barangay Suba, Danao City, did not hesitate to have her bag checked at the passenger’s passage area of MV Montenegro Shipping.
Police said Bayo was on her way to Masbate to deliver the unlicensed firearms to a customer.
Bayo was charged with illegal possession of firearms yesterday.
