More than 500,000 kilos of rice distributed by gov’t in Sultan Kudarat

Princess Rihan Sakaluran leads the distribution of Cash Assistance and Rice Distribution Program (CARD) to 28,000 beneficiaries in the province of Sultan Kudarat with over 500,000 kilograms of rice under the revolutionary aid program of President Ferdinand "Bongbong' R. Marcos Jr. held at Sultan Kudarat State University Access Campus in Tacurong City Sunday morning. Present in the event to show their support and solidarity are nearly 50 Members of the House of Representatives from Mindanao.

MANILA, Philippines — Some 28,000 beneficiaries in Sultan Kudarat received over 500,000 kilograms of rice, along with cash and food packs, from government.

In a statement on Sunday, House Speaker Martin Romualdez said the packages were distributed through Cash and Rice Distribution Program (CARD) and Bagong Pilipinas Serbisyo Fair.

“Sa ilalim ng Bagong Pilipinas movement, wala pong maiiwan. Lahat kasama sa pag-unlad,” the lawmaker dubbed ‘Mr. Rice’ said.

CARD is a joint project of Romualdez, House of Representatives, and Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD).

DSWD provides help through government’s program for vulnerable sectors called Assistance to Individuals in Crisis Situations (AICS).

It consists of P1,000 cash aid and 25-kilogram sack of rice.

Pilot distributions were previously conducted in Metro Manila, Biñan city and Sta. Rosa, Laguna.
