MANILA, Philippines — A 22-year-old man was arrested after he was caught with over P1.1-million worth of suspected crystal meth or shabu during a buy-bust operation in Pasay City on Wednesday morning, according to police.
In a report, the Southern Police District (SPD) disclosed that suspect John James Tan was arrested along Captain Merong Street, corner of M. Acosta Street in Barangay 77, around 3 a.m.
Police said the operation stemmed after they conducted a series of surveillance and monitoring on the suspect.
Confiscated from him is a plastic shabu weighing about 100 grams and three sachets containing narcotics of around 75 grams — which the Dangerous Drug Board said amounts to approximately P1.19 million.
