MANILA, Philippines — The official Facebook page of the Valenzuela Police Station has been hacked, a police officer said on Tuesday.

The city police chief, Col. Salvador Destura Jr., made the announcement through an advisory posted on the Valenzuela City Police Station Public Information Office Facebook page this morning.

“This is to inform the public that the official Facebook page of the Valenzuela City Police Station has been hacked. The administrators do not have access to the account as of the moment,” the city police chief said.

FEATURED STORIES

As of posting time, the compromised page is filled with indecent videos of women dancing, fixing a car, and in a parlor, among others. The first lewd video was posted at about 10 p.m. on Monday, while the last was posted at 3 a.m. on Tuesday.

In line with this, Destura urged the public to refrain from engaging with the hacked account and temporarily check the Valenzuela City Police Station PIO page for updates.

“Updates and announcements will temporarily be posted on the Facebook page of ‘Valenzuela City Police Station PIO’ until the hacked account is recovered,” he said.

“We apologize for this incident. Thank you for your understanding,” he added.
