LUCENA CITY — A drinking session turned bloody Monday after a butcher was hacked to death by his three buddies and fellow butchers in Lipa City, Batangas province.

The Batangas police said in a report on Tuesday, Feb. 20, that Maricar Brion, cashier, opened the meat store in Barangay 4 around 6 a.m. and found the body of Geman Bersabe inside the building’s second floor comfort room.

Investigators found out that the victim had a drinking spree with three fellow butchers – “Moner,” “Joraise,” and “Jonaid” – when a heated argument ensued among them.

The altercation ended with the hacking to death of the victim.
