Butcher hacked to death by drinking buddies in Batangas

LUCENA CITY — A drinking session turned bloody Monday after a butcher was hacked to death by his three buddies and fellow butchers in Lipa City, Batangas province.

The Batangas police said in a report on Tuesday, Feb. 20, that Maricar Brion, cashier, opened the meat store in Barangay 4 around 6 a.m. and found the body of Geman Bersabe inside the building’s second floor comfort room.

Investigators found out that the victim had a drinking spree with three fellow butchers – “Moner,” “Joraise,” and “Jonaid” – when a heated argument ensued among them.

The altercation ended with the hacking to death of the victim.

The victim suffered serious wounds in different parts of the body that caused his immediate death.

The three butchers fled after the incident.

The police are conducting further investigation and launched a manhunt to arrest the three suspects.
