CEBU CITY — The Police Regional Office in Central Visayas (PRO-7) confiscated Feb.10 and 11 more than P100 million worth of shabu and marijuana and arrested 652 suspects for different crimes in the region.

Lieutenant Colonel Gerard Ace Pelare, PRO-7 spokesperson, said they confiscated 14,796.46 grams of shabu and 60 grams of marijuana with a total worth of P110,623,128.

Due to the quantity of illegal drugs confiscated, Brigadier General Anthony Aberin, PRO-7 director, ordered a deeper investigation on their suppliers and where they will be distributed.

Pelare said these 10 kilos of suspected shabu were connected to the same supplier as the 10 kilos of shabu that were also confiscated in a condominium in Cebu City last December 2023.

“While we recognize that there are still challenges with shabu here in Central Visayas, our commitment under the leadership of Police Brigadier General Anthony Aberin is to conduct operations and arrest these people so that eventually, the supply reaching Central Visayas will be reduced,” said Pelare.
