Armed drug suspect held in Lucena, P272,000 shabu seized

Five alleged drug traders, including a husband and wife, were arrested in buy-bust operations in Lucena City.

LUCENA CITY — Anti-narcotics agents arrested an armed drug suspect and seized more than P272,000 worth of shabu (crystal meth) during a buy-bust operation on Friday, Feb. 9, in this city police said.

Lucena police reported on Saturday that operatives arrested “Kiko” after he sold P10,000 worth of shabu to an undercover cop in a transaction at 9:44 p.m. in Barangay Ibabang Dupay.

The law enforcers seized from Kiko four plastic sachets containing meth weighing 40 grams with a total estimated value of P272,500 and an undocumented caliber .38 revolver loaded with four bullets.

The police also confiscated the suspect’s car believed to have been used in his illegal drug trade.

The suspect was on the police watch list as a “high-value individual” in the local drug trade.

The suspect was placed in police custody and will be charged of violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 and illegal possession of a firearm.
