Over P2M shabu seized in Camarines Sur buy-busts
LEGAZPI CITY — Police seized P2 million worth of “shabu” (crystal meth) and arrested drug personalities on Tuesday and Wednesday in Naga City and Pili town in Camarines Sur.
Anti-narcotics team arrested a suspected drug personality and recovered P374,000 worth of shabu in a buy-bust operation early Wednesday, Feb. 7, in Naga City.
Senior Master Sargent Tobias Bongon, Naga City police spokesperson, said the unnamed 35-year-old man sold 25 grams of shabu to an undercover agent in Barangay Sabang at 1:40 a.m.
Bongon said they also recovered another knot-tied sachet of shabu weighing 30 grams from the suspect tagged as a high-value individual.
The suspect was facing charges of violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

In Pili town, police arrested on Tuesday, Feb. 6, a “high-value drug personality” and recovered more than P1.8 million worth of shabu in a buy-bust operation, a report said Wednesday. Lieutenant Colonel Joffrey Todeño, Pili town police chief, said in the report that Anthony Azada, 38, sold a knot-tied sachet of suspected shabu worth P150,000 in Barangay Sagurong at around 9:30 p.m. Authorities recovered 275 grams of shabu and two sachets of marijuana leaves worth P240 from Azada, who was on the illegal drugs watch list.
