Guard’s warning shot hits ‘thieving’ teener in Taguig

A 13-year-old boy was wounded when a security guard at a construction site in Bonifacio Global City, Taguig, shot him by accident Tuesday after warning him off the property.

According to a report from the Taguig police, Freddie Hulleza, 45, a security guard of SM Aura Project Site, fired a warning shot when he saw the teenager at the construction site.

However, the bullet hit the victim, a resident of Zone 7, Mini Park in Barangay Fort Bonifacio.

According to the report, Hulleza claimed the teenager was a robber.

The victim was rushed to Ospital ng Makati for treatment while Hulleza was charged with physical injuries in the Taguig Prosecutor’s Office. Nathaniel R. Melican
