LEGAZPI CITY — Bodies of three missing persons in Albay province were recovered on Monday, Feb. 5, in Libon town in Albay .
Brigadier General Andre Perez Dizon, Bicol regional police director, said in a report Tuesday that the bodies of a 44-year-old man and two minors were found at around 10 a.m. already decomposing in Sitio (sub-village) Tagbac in Barangay Macabugos
Dizon said they were suspected as members of the Concepcion criminal gang and were involved in robberies, extortion, gunrunning, and gun-for-hire activities. The gang operated in Albay and Camarines Sur provinces.

Its leader, Gilbert Concepcion was killed in a police operation in Jan. 24 in Parañaque.
Initial investigation said they were missing since Dec. 30, 2023.
“It’s possible that they were accused that they were behind reporting [the whereabouts] of Concepcion to the police,” Dizon said in a private chat message Tuesday.
