MABALACAT CITY — Agents of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) and police officers arrested on Sunday three soldiers, who allegedly yielded some P340,000 worth of “shabu” (crystal meth) in nearby Bamban, Tarlac.
In a statement, the PDEA Central Luzon said joint operatives from PDEA Tarlac and Tarlac police conducted a buy-bust operation at past 9 p.m. in Anupul village against the suspects.
It identified the arrested individuals as Sergeant Roquero, Corporal Delmoral, and Corporal Feliciano.
The PDEA Central Luzon said all three suspects are enlisted personnel of the Armed Forces of the Philippines. It did not say which unit of the armed forces they belonged to, but they had inactive status in the military service..

The agency said the three arrested soldiers were high-value targets.
PDEA said its agents confiscated from the suspects a transparent plastic sachet containing some 50 grams of shabu and an AFP-issued Rock Island caliber.45 pistol loaded with a magazine and four live bullets.
Operatives also impounded the blue Suzuki Dzire car driven by the suspects and recovered the marked peso bills used by the confidential agent during the sting operation.
