LEGAZPI CITY — Authorities arrested on Thursday two suspected drug traders and recovered P2.24 million worth of illegal drugs in Iriga City in Camarines Sur.
In a report on Friday, Lieutenant Colonel Maria Luisa Calubaquib, spokesperson of Bicol police, said Ren, 45, and Joe, 43, residents of Calamba, Laguna, were arrested at at 1:51 p.m. in a buy-bust operation in Barangay San Isidro.
Calubaquib said the police and members of Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency Bicol recovered 17 bricks of dried marijuana leaves weighing 17 kilos worth P 2,040,000, and 30 grams of “shabu” (crystal meth) worth about P204,000.
They were brought to the Iriga City police station and facing charges of violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. INQ
