MANILA, Philippines — A lucky bettor from Rizal province won the jackpot in the 6/42 Lotto draw on Tuesday night, taking home over P56.6 million in cash.

The Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) said in an advisory on Wednesday that the winning combination of 38-20-19-04-16-40 ticket was bought from a lotto outlet in Pililla town.

On the other hand, 45 bettors won P24,000 each for picking five out of the six winning numbers.

The PCSO has been under fire lately after several lotto games were won in succession in less than a month, raising suspicions of cheating and manipulation.

Sen. Aquilino Pimentel III and some netizens also questioned the integrity of the lotto draws, as they noticed the winning combinations were similar to previous ones and winners were mainly from the same regions.

The PCSO, however, maintained that its draws were fair and transparent.
