P325,000 shabu seized from 4 drug suspects in Rizal
LUCENA CITY — Police anti-narcotics operatives arrested Tuesday four “high-value” drug traffickers and seized more than P325,000 worth of shabu (crystal meth) in San Mateo, Rizal province.
Rizal police reported that local drug enforcers nabbed “Bitoy,” 22; “Taweng,” 30; “Jane,” 20; and “MJ,” 21, at 5:37 a.m. after they sold P2,000 worth of shabu to an undercover cop in Barangay Banaba.
The suspects yielded seven plastic sachets containing shabu weighing 47.9 grams worth about P325,720 in the Dangerous Drugs Board valuation and a digital weighing scale.
Authorities also seized two mobile phones, which will be examined for records of drug transactions.

Police tagged the suspects, all residents of the locality, as high-value individuals in the local drug trade on the police drug watch list.

The suspects were detained and are facing complaints for violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
