Gasoline prices to go up P2.80/liter, diesel by P1.30/liter

Motorists will see a hefty increase in the pump prices of petroleum products on Tuesday, Jan. 30, with local oil firms saying that prices will rise by up to P2.80 per liter.


In separate advisories, the companies said the prices per liter of gasoline would go up by P2.80 and P1.30 for diesel. At the same time, the price of kerosene will climb by P0.45 per liter.


Marcos was never on gov’t watch list for illegal drugs — PDEA

President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. was never on the government watch list for illegal drugs, according to the  Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) on Monday.

Last Sunday, former president Rodrigo Duterte made the controversial claim that Marcos used illegal drugs during a prayer rally against Charter-change in Davao. Duterte claimed that when he was mayor, the PDEA showed him proof that Marcos was on their narcotics list.

Ferdinand Marcos Jr. should “resign” if he “ does not have love and aspirations for the nation,” Davao City Mayor Sebastian Duterte said on Sunday at a gathering of thousands of supporters of former President Rodrigo Duterte and their leaders, who call themselves Maisug (brave).

Mayor Duterte made his statement as his father’s supporters gathered to voice their opposition to Charter change, in an apparent show of force against the Bagong Pilipinas kick-off rally in Manila.

Former President Duterte said on Sunday that he would order the arrest of those behind the people’s initiative to amend the Constitution if he could ever come back to power.
