Bagong Pilipinas rally draws estimated 400,000 attendees, says MPD
MANILA, Philippines — As people continue to arrive at the government’s “Bagong Pilipinas” kick-off rally, the estimated crowd within the Quirino Grandstand, Manila, has reached 400,000, according to police.
In a report, Manila Police District (MPD) said the crowd estimate climbed from 100,000 at 4 p.m. to 400,000 as of 6:20 p.m.
This is around the time President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. arrived at the event. Also present during the event were other government officials and famous personalities.
Aside from the crowd estimate, MPD likewise reported that 46 individuals received medical attention.
Three of them experienced dizziness, one sustained a minor wound, 11 suffered from headaches, and three abrasions, among others.
