VP Sara Duterte to attend Bagong Pilipinas rally at Quirino Grandstand
MANILA, Philippines — Vice President and Education Secretary Sara Duterte announced on Sunday afternoon that she will attend the “Bagong Pilipinas” kick-off rally at the Quirino Grandstand in Manila.
“Mga kababayan, dadalo po ako sa Bagong Pilipinas Kickoff Rally sa Quirino Grandstand sa Manila. Kaisa ang buong Department of Education (DepEd) sa pagsusulong ng 8-point Socioeconomic Agenda ng Marcos administration para sa pagbabago ng buhay ng mga Pilipino,” the Vice President said in a Facebook post.
(My fellow Filipinos, I will attend the Bagong Pilipinas Kickoff Rally at the Quirino Grandstand in Manila. The DepEd is also pushing for the 8-point Socioeconomic Agenda of Marcos administration for the betterment of Filipino people.)
Duterte also expressed her support to various sectors in Davao City fighting against Charter change (Cha-cha) or constitutional reform.

Earlier, the Presidential Communications Office (PCO) said President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. and other government officials, celebrities, and personalities would attend the rally, which would be live-streamed nationwide.
Aside from this, PCO said the registered individuals might also avail of various assistance from the government, such as the “Serbisyo Fair” for beneficiaries of the Assistance to Individuals in Crisis Situation of the Department of Social Welfare and Development and eCard enrollment verification of record, loan application and housing programs under the Government Service Insurance System.
Others include civil registration services under the Philippine Statistics Authority, Philippine Identification System Registration and the ePhilID Issuance, and issuance of clearance for jobseekers under the National Bureau of Investigation.
To avoid inconvenience, motorists were advised to take different routes and avoid Rizal Park and roads leading to Quirino Grandstand.
The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority said Roxas Boulevard (Blvd.) from UN Avenue (Ave.) to P. Burgos Ave. will be closed to traffic including M. Kalaw (both sides from Roxas Blvd. to Taft Ave.); Burgos Ave. (both sides and Finance Road (Rd.); Orosa Street (St.); and Bonifacio Drive (Dr.) – from Anda Circle to P. Burgos Ave.
