Amihan to bring light rains over parts of Luzon — Pagasa
MANILA, Philippines — The northeast monsoon, locally known as amihan, is forecast to bring light rains over parts of Luzon on Tuesday, state meteorologists said.
In a weather report, specialist Obet Badrina noted that isolated light rains may prevail in Northern Luzon due to the effects of the northeast monsoon.
“Sa ating latest satellite images, nakikita natin ang patuloy na epekto ng northeast monsoon, partikular na sa hilagang bahagi ng Luzon at maaaring magdala ng mahinang pag-ulan sa ilang bahagi ng Northern Luzon,” Badrina said.

The same weather system will also bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains in Metro Manila, Ilocos Region, the rest of Central Luzon, and the rest of Calabarzon, Pagasa said.
But Badrina pointed out that the Bicol Region may experience overcast skies in the coming days as state meteorologists expect the shear line to make a resurgence.
As for the rest of the country, the weather specialist explained that generally fair weather is likely despite some chances of isolated light rains in Luzon and thunderstorms in Visayas and Mindanao.
The state weather bureau added that it was not monitoring any low pressure area forming or entering the Philippine area of responsibility on Tuesday and possibly until the weekend.
Gale warning is hoisted over the seaboards of Batanes, Cagayan including Babuyan Islands, Ilocos Norte, and Ilocos Sur where waves may be as high as 4.5 meters.
