Police nab 4 men in kidnap try of Chinese female trader in Pasay
MANILA, Philippines — Four men allegedly trying to kidnap a 35-year-old Chinese businesswoman were arrested in Pasay City on Monday morning, according to police.
In a report, the Southern Police District (SPD) said Pasay police operatives responded to a commotion and apprehended the alleged kidnappers while patrolling along Roxas Boulevard, Barangay 6, around 7:30 a.m.

Before police responded, unnamed witnesses’ claimed that suspects “Joe,” 43; “Jhing,” 27; “John,” 25; and “Arn-arn,” 47, were seen pulling the victim out of her white sedan and boarding her in a black sports utility vehicle.
A revolver with five live ammunition, three small sachets containing suspected crystal meth or shabu, a foil strip, knife, other contrabands, duct tape, and a hammer were confiscated from the suspect’s belongings.

The four arrested and all pieces of evidence are currently under Pasay police custody. SPD said the suspects will face complaints for violating Republic Act (RA) 10591 (Illegal Possession of Firearms), RA 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act), and Batas Pambansa Blg. 6 (Illegal Possession of Bladed, Pointed or Blunt Weapon).
