Meralco: Brownouts set in Rizal, Bulacan, Laguna, QC from Jan 21-24

MANILA, Philippines — Some parts of Rizal, Bulacan, Laguna, and Quezon City would experience temporary power interruptions from January 21-24, the Manila Electric Company (Meralco) said Saturday.

In an advisory posted on its website, Meralco said the scheduled brownouts are due to maintenance works that will be carried out in the affected areas.

Maintenance works that would result in electricity supply pause will take place on the following:

January 21

Rizal Province (Cainta and Taytay) – between 9 a.m. and 9:30 a.m.; and 1:30 p.m. and 2 p.m.

• A portion of Greenwoods Ave. from Ejercito Ave. to and including Greenwoods Executive Village Phases 9, 8G, and 10 in Bgy. San Andres, Cainta
• A portion of Ejercito Ave. from Tapayan Bridge to West Bank Road, including Bagong Pag-Asa BERM Subd., Verde Grande Subd., Shell Gas Station, and IPM Trading and Development Corp. in Bgys. San Juan and Sta. Ana, Taytay
• A portion of West Bank Road from Ejercito Ave. to and including Damayan Subd., Nagkaisang Tinig Subd., Resettlement Subd., San Juan Sitio Siwang; and Daehan College of Business and Technology in Bgy. San Juan, Taytay

Reason: Relocation of poles and line reconductoring works along Ejercito Ave. in Bgy. San Juan, Taytay

Bulacan (Malolos City) – between 9 a.m. and 9:30 a.m.

• A portion of Bulacan St. from near Taal Road to and including JACC Gas Station; and Purok Gitna in Bgy. Mambog
• A portion of Taal Road from Bulacan St. to near Bancal – Taal St. including Purok 1, 2, 3 and Wakas in Bgys. Bangkal, Niugan and Taal

Reason: Line reconstruction works in Bgys. Bangkal, Mambog and Taal in Malolos City

January 23

Laguna (Sta. Rosa City) – between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m.

• Villa Caceres Subd. in City Proper

Inc., Antar Trading Co., Buhler Philippines Inc., CFAL Oasis Development Corp., Jbw Floorcenter Inc., Motor and Carriage Inc. (Hyundai North Edsa) and Scientific Environmental and Analytical Laboratory and Services Inc. in Bgys. Apolonio Samson and Unang Sigaw in Balintawak
• A portion of NLEX East Service Road from Edsa Northbound to near Dimaano Drive in Bgy. Balong Bato including Gana Compound in Bgy. Unang Sigaw, Balintawak
