The operator of the North Luzon Expressway (NLEx) is building a new interchange in Sto. Tomas Pampanga, a project seen to decongest the Olongapo-Gapan road and provide a link to other big-ticket infrastructure.
On Thursday, NLEx Corp.—a unit of Metro Pacific Tollways Corp.—announced it signed a partnership with the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) and Toll Regulatory Board for the project.
The DPWH will be responsible for linking the interchange to the future Lubao-Guagua-Minalin-Sto. Tomas Bypass Road project by DPWH.
“This interchange will soon be connected to other big infrastructure projects in the town including a new hospital and a university, bringing more progress to the municipality,” the NLEx said. —TYRONE JASPER C. PIAD
