MANILA, Philippines — The Office of the Vice President (OVP) has been recertified by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) after a successful audit of its quality management system, said Vice President Sara Duterte on Tuesday.

Duterte announced that TÜV Rheinland recertified the OVP following an audit in December 2023.

The audit covered multiple areas, including planning, management information, accounting, budgeting, knowledge management, general administration, social services programs, human resources, training, and internal audit, focusing on the OVP Central Office and its satellite offices in Davao, Panay, and Negros Islands.

“Today, we have been awarded the ISO Certificates and an Official Audit Report with 13 positive observations for the Office of the Vice-President,” said Duterte in a statement.

“This ISO certification shows our resolve to serve the Filipino people effectively and with integrity. It is a positive start to our year and marks a new phase in our commitment to public service, aligning us with international management standards,” she added.

Duterte then expressed her office’s intent to leverage the momentum from ISO recertification by moving forward to the 2024 planning conference, reinforcing the OVP’s commitment to public service.

“This event will help us evaluate our performance and explore opportunities for improvement. It is a chance to assess our commitments and foster development,” said Duterte.

“More importantly, it is a timely venue to define our targets for both 2024 and 2025 across various offices and divisions,” she added.

Expressing gratitude and pride in working with her office, Duterte urged all OVP personnel to stay focused on the mission of public service with “integrity and heart.”

“Let’s keep resilience, integrity, diligence, and excellence at the forefront as we work towards improving the quality of life for all our people,” she said.
