MANILA, Philippines — Three suspects in the murder of radio broadcaster Juan Jumalon have been identified by authorities, the Presidential Task Force on Media Security (PTFoMS) said on Monday.

Jumalon, also known as “DJ Johnny Walker”, was killed during a live broadcast on November 5, 2023 in Calamba, Misamis Occidental.

According to PTFoMS Executive Director Usec. Paul M. Gutierrez’s report, three suspects under the aliases of ‘Ricky,’ ‘Boboy’ and ‘Inteng’ were identified.

“We would be releasing their formal identities as soon as the cases against them have been formally elevated to the courts,” Gutierrez said in a PTFoMS statement.

The suspects were spotted in Misamis Oriental and Zamboanga del Norte since Jumalon was killed.

The reward for the suspects’ arrest is currently at P3.7 million.

“We are also readying a ‘Most Wanted’ poster against the suspects for public distribution to aid in the early resolution of this incident,” said  Gutierrez.
