Pagasa warns of wet ‘traslacion’

Nazareno 2024: Live Updates for The Feast of Black Nazarene

Devotees of the Black Nazarene who will join the “traslacion” on Jan. 9 may have to brace for wet weather as a shear line is expected to affect parts of Luzon and Visayas.

The Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms are likely over the eastern sections of Southern Luzon and Eastern Visayas due to the shear line.

Meanwhile, the northeast monsoon or “amihan” will continue to bring mostly cloudy skies with light rains over Cagayan Valley and Cordillera Administrative Region, and partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains over the rest of Luzon, including Metro Manila. —RUSSEL LORETO
