22 airports get P7.5B in upgrade funds

MANILA, Philippines — Some P7.5 billion has been earmarked for the upgrade of 22 airports and aviation facilities, including that on Pag-asa Island.

Makati City Rep. Luis Jose Angel Campos Jr., vice chairperson of the House of Representatives appropriations committee, said the 22 airports include the following:

  • P1.64 billion for Ninoy Aquino International Airport
  • P1.5 billion for Pag-asa Island Airport
  • P581 million for Kalibo International Airport
  • P500 million for Laoag International Airport
  • P320 million for Bukidnon Airport
  • P300 million for Puerto Princesa Airport
  • P300 million for New Zamboanga International Airport
