MANILA, Philippines — The Taguig City government on Wednesday said that it will temporarily provide free teleconsultations for its 10 enlisted men’s barrios or “Embo” barangays after Makati’s announcement on closure of health centers in the area.

“Pansamantalang magbibigay ng teleconsultations ang Taguig para sa mga residente ng EMBO barangays na pinagkaitan ng Makati ng mahahalagang serbisyong pangkalusugan,” Taguig said in a post on Facebook.

(Taguig will temporarily provide teleconsultations for residents of Embo barangays who have been deprived of essential health services by Makati.)

Teleconsultations will provide free medical check-ups and referrals, as well as prescriptions and laboratory requests, the post explained.

Teleconsultation hotlines are open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Mondays through Fridays.

“For those who want to consult a doctor in person, the Philhealth-accredited 31 health centers and 3 superhealth centers of Taguig are open, and they will accept patients from EMBO barangays wherever they want to consult a patient,” Taguig added.
