2 honest cops praised for returning wallet containing P22,000

Two police officers earned praises from the Southern Police District (SPD) after returning a wallet containing P22,000 to its owner.

MANILA, Philippines — Two police officers earned praises from the Southern Police District (SPD) after returning a wallet containing P22,000 to its owner.

In a report on Tuesday, SPD said Police Corporals John Ulysses Morota and  Callie Cruz found the wallet containing the cash along a sidewalk outside Okada Manila on December 31 afternoon.

Police said they were patrolling the area when they found the abandoned item.

Before surrendering it to their office, SPD said the two officers checked the wallet and identified the owner as Khevin Yu.

After this, the District Mobile Force Battalion searched Yu’s contact information and returned the wallet to him.
