Over 5,000 cops will be deployed for Nazarene procession – PNP

MANILA, Philippines — A total of 5,602 police officers will be dispatched in Manila for the Traslacion — on the Feast of the Black Nazarene — in January next year, according to the Philippine National Police (PNP).
The officers will be deployed for the procession from Quirino Grandstand to Quiapo Church, the PNP spokesperson Col. Jean Fajardo, said, citing Manila Police District director Col. Arnold Thomas Ibay.
She said earlier that the police force would be on full alert for the Traslacion.
