Dizon is new Bicol police chief

LEGAZPI CITY  – Brigadier General Andre Perez Dizon formally assumed the post of Bicol regional police director at the change of command ceremony at Camp Simeon Ola in this city on Tuesday. 

A distinguished member of the Philippine National Police Academy’s “Sandigan” Class of 1994, Dizon, 53, is a native of Prieto Diaz, Sorsogon.

Prior to his new assignment, Dizon served as director of Police Retirement and Benefits Administration Service (PRBS) and the Manila Police District.

“I will emphasize to [improve] security at the Maharlika Highway, maintain a drug-free region and sustain anti-insurgency efforts for a peaceful Bicolandia,” Dizon said.

He said shuffling of commanders might happen in the next few days but he will observe first the units’ performances.

“I will be hands-on, particularly in checking and visiting the headquarters so I could personally check their needs. I would also like to boost their morale and personality by enhancing their careers through schooling,” he added.
