In an ambush interview in Tokyo, Romualdez said the President will sign the 2024 General Appropriations Act (GAA) a day after he arrives from Japan.

The Chief Executive is attending the 50th Commemorative Association of Southeast Asian Nations-Japan Friendship and Cooperation Summit.

“It’s ready for ano, I think Wednesday. Wednesday na ata yung signing po,” said Romualdez.

The House Speaker added that printing some necessary documents is still underway.

Romualdez is confident Marcos will not veto any provision in the budget bill.

Both the House of Representatives and Senate have approved the measure.

All that is needed is the President’s signature.
