Head shot downs burger joint owner in Pasig

A 39-year-old businessman was in critical condition after being shot in the head in front of his hamburger store in Pasig City on Thursday afternoon, police said.

Police identified the victim as June Amores, a Pasig City resident who also rents out several apartments.

Superintendent Alfredo Calama-an said Amores was inspecting his hamburger store in Barangay Bagong Ilog which was undergoing renovation when a man armed with a .45 caliber pistol approached and shot him at around 4 p.m.

The gunman fled on foot after pumping a bullet into the victim’s forehead which exited through the back of his head, police said. Amores was rushed to Rizal Medical Center in Pasig, where he remained in critical condition as of Friday.
