LTFRB chair Guadiz says over 10 armed intruders entered his home

MANILA, Philippines — Several armed men invaded Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) chair Teofilo Guadiz III’s home on Wednesday.

This incident is based on the information from the LTFRB chief.

According to Guadiz, the intrusion involved three cars and over ten armed assailants.

“Our family is still reeling from a recent incident where armed individuals entered our home [on December 13],” said Guadiz in a statement on Thursday.

While he did not know the motive of the intruders, Guadiz said it appeared to be more personal than a robbery.

“The intrusion …  appears to be more than a routine robbery. It seems personal, and the motive remains unclear,” he said.

Guadiz said the incident was a “traumatic experience,” especially to his 91-year-old mother who is also staying in his house.

The LTFRB head said he is cooperating with investigators who are looking into the matter.
