BGC in Taguig ‘optimal’ choice as relocation site of House – Mayor Cayetano
MANILA, Philippines — Bonifacio Global City (BGC) in Taguig “stands as an optimal and strategic choice” as the site for the proposed transfer of the House of Representatives, Taguig City Mayor Ma. Laarni “Lani” Cayetano said on Monday.
Cayetano added that the new Senate building in BGC is set to partially open in 2024. The Senate will also partially begin operations in its new building by July 2024.
Cayetano likewise that traffic management around the area must be prioritized as well as coordination in locations such as the Philippine National Railways Train Station, subway stations in Taguig, and the Integrated Transport Terminal in Arca South.
Currently, the House of Representatives is at the Batasang Pambansa Complex in Quezon City.
