Phivolcs reports 73 aftershocks from Occidental Mindoro quake on Tuesday
MANILA, Philippines — State seismologists recorded a total of 73 aftershocks on Wednesday after a magnitude 5.9 earthquake off Lubang, Occidental Mindoro shook many parts of Luzon on Tuesday.
The tremor was also felt in Metro Manila.
The aftershocks ranged from magnitude 1.4 to 3.7, according to the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs).
Phivolcs said people in these areas felt none of these ground movements.
The tremor’s epicenter was located at approximately seven kilometers south-southeast of Lubang.

It was felt in various places in Metro Manila, as well as in several towns and municipalities in Bulacan, Rizal, Quezon, Batangas, and Occidental Mindoro.
