MANILA, Philippines — Road maintenance will be carried out in some parts of Quezon Avenue in Quezon City from December 6 to 17, the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) – National Capital Region said on Tuesday.
The initiative is part of the DPWH’s “zero potholes” routine maintenance, it said in a Facebook post.
The maintenance work that will be conducted includes “squaring and asphalt patching works along limited sections of Quezon Avenue, from Elliptical Road to Welcome Rotonda – Westbound; and from D. Tuazon to Scout Albano – Eastbound.”
Motorists were advised to take alternative routes while the repairs are ongoing.
The DPWH said that the asphalted road sections will be immediately opened to traffic once finished.
“Hence, DPWH assures the motorists that the temporary repairs will be carried out swiftly, to avoid inconvenience to the public,” it said.
“The maintenance works will ensure a smoother and safer road for the traveling public,” it added.
