MANILA, Philippines — The Quezon City government on Thursday said Route 6 and 7 of the Q City Bus service from city hall to Gilmore and C-5 or Ortigas Extension is currently operating on a limited basis.
The Q City Bus has eight routes, providing passengers with free rides. The local government said only its routes 6 and 7 are affected, while the rest have regular operations.
In a message to INQUIRER.net, the city’s Traffic and Transport Management Department (TTMD), it is said that the operation limitation is due to “internal issues” between their partner bus operator in the stated routes and its drivers and conductors.
Citing the bus operator, he added that dialogues are ongoing between the parties to resolve the issue.
Meanwhile, the city government said buses from other routes were deployed in routes 6 and 7 to service affected passengers, especially during rush hour.
“The City Government is currently coordinating with our partner bus operator in the said routes to resolve the situation as soon as possible,” the city government said.
